journaling: friend, you have more “oomph!” than any other kid i know. most of the time i’m at a loss as to what to do with it all. and some days, you’ve taken everything out of me, and it’s the best i can do to hold it together. but then, i remember the spirit God gave you - definitely not a spirit of timidity, and i pray that you would be filled with the fruits of His spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. it’s not that i want your spirit to be tamed. i love that you have a strength, a will, and ambition, but i pray that people would see more Jesus than kate, and more love than anger. when i see such an exhibition of exhuberance from you sweet girl, i know two things. you are going to wear me out, and you are going to do great things for His kingdom.
